Marion County ,FL :50-year-old Jeanne Graves minorly injured in Four Vehicle crash along Interstate 75 inside southbound lanes on Monday evening ,March 16th 2015
A four-vehicle crash shut down the southbound lanes of I-75 in Marion County early Monday morning, and the inside southbound lane remains closed while road crews fix the pavement.
The crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. just south of the Marion–Alachua County line, near the Alachua County town of Micanopy.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it all started when a BMW driven by 19-year-old Aaron Gordon, of Hudson, rear-ended a Toyota Sienna, pushing it onto a grass shoulder, where the car overturned.
Gordon exited his car after it was disabled in the center lane of the interstate. Troopers then said an oncoming freight truck could not avoid the crash in time and hit the BMW, then struck a guardrail and overturned.
A fourth vehicle then also hit the debris from the earlier crashes.
One passenger in the truck, 50-year-old Jeanne Graves, of Palmdale, was taken to UF Health in Gainesville with minor injuries. No one else involved in the crash was hurt.
The outside and center lanes on southbound I-75 reopened later Monday morning.
