Oneida County, NY : Passenger injured in ATV crash in Verona on Thursday, April 21, 2016
A personal injury crash involving an ATV was reported around 10 p.m. Thursday on East Main Street, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Travis Jennings, 25, of Vernon, was riding a 2016 Articat Wildcat east in a backyard on private property when he attempted to make a sharp left turn, deputies said.
While turning, Jennings lost control and the ATV overturned, ejecting the passenger, who was identified as Jeffrey Truman, 30, of Oneida, deputies said.
After Truman was ejected, the ATV landed on him and he became struck underneath it, deputies said.
Truman was freed from underneath the ATV and then taken to St. Elizabeth Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System for treatment, deputies report.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Verona firefighters and Vineall Ambulance.
