Austin, TX : Cyclist killed after being hit by car in West Travis County Saturday on May 17, 2014

Cyclist John Fusselman, 67-year-old, from Austin has died after being hit by a car at 7 a.m. Saturday.

He was traveling east on 2244, a Honda pilot in the same direction was making a right on Creek's Edge Pkwy.

Due to the sun, when she moved to the shoulder, didn't see the cyclist.

He was taken to UMC Brackenridge, where he died Sunday morning.

According to his son, John Fusselman was pronounced brain dead Saturday after the crash, He was an organ donor and the organs were maintained by ventilator for procurement Sunday.

This was not a hit and run, but the crash is under investigation. The driver is a female from Austin.
