Glasgow, KY : A Cave City teenager died in an all-terrain vehicle crash on Saturday, December, 2nd 2017

A Cave City teenager died in an all-terrain vehicle crash that occurred around 3 p.m. Saturday at the Pumpjack Off-Road Recreational Park in Adair County.

Summer Piercy, 19, was pronounced dead by the Adair County Coroner at the scene. The crash occurred when Nicholas Sturgeon, 23, of Munfordville, collided with a ditch while operating a 2014 Kawasaki Teryx, causing the all-terrain vehicle to flip. Sturgeon and Piercy, a passenger, were not wearing restraints, said a Kentucky State Police press release.

Trooper Levi Scott is investigating the crash. He was assisted at the scene by the Adair County Fire and Rescue, Adair County Emergency Medical Service, the Adair County Coroner's Office, the Adair County Sheriff's Office and firefighters with the Columbia and Breeding Volunteer Fire departments, the press release said.
