LIVERPOOL, NY : Westbound Thruway reopens near Liverpool after crash on Tuesday, October 3, 2017
The westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near Liverpool have reopened after a crash earlier Tuesday afternoon, according to the Thruway Authority.
A truck carrying a small trailer jack-knifed in the roadway near mile marker 284.6, coming to rest blocking both lanes, said a state police official. No one was seriously injured.
The westbound Thruway closed from Exit 37 for Electronics Parkway to Exit 38 for Liverpool shortly after the 3:17 p.m. crash. The lanes reopened after about an hour once officials were able to move the disabled truck.
Traffic was backed up to Exit 35 for East Syracuse. Though the roadway is clear, Thruway officials said drivers should still expect delays when traveling across northern Onondaga County.
