TUCSON, AZ : Authorities respond to fatal two-vehicle crash in Tucson on Tuesday, 18th June 2024

A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving an impaired driver in Tucson late Tuesday, June 18.

The Tucson Police Department said 41-year-old Jesse M. Ortiz died at the scene of the accident at Midvale Park Road and West Argyle Avenue, which is near Irvington and Interstate 10.

The TPD said Ortiz was trying to turn left onto Argyle when he was hit by a pick-up truck being driven by a 19-year-old man.

The 19-year-old was allegedly impaired and speeding when the crash happened, according to the TPD.
