Sarasota , FL :2 dead in single-car crash after fleeing Sarasota police on Tuesday , June 23rd 2015

Authorities say a man and woman are dead following a southwest Florida crash.Sarasota police say officers attempted to pull over 35-year-old Taurius Markeith Peterson's BMW 750Li early Tuesday morning, but he fled, and officers didn't pursue. A short time later, Peterson was traveling on U.S. 301 when he failed to make a right turn and went up onto a grass shoulder.The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the car hit an embankment next to some railroad tracks, went airborne, crashed into two different railroad support poles and caught fire.Peterson and his passenger, 40-year-old Heather Marie Roesler-Pando, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
