Bakersfield, CA : Three people injured, one seriously in a two-vehicle accident in east Bakersfield on Saturday morning, March 26, 2016

A man sustained major injuries Saturday morning in a two-vehicle accident in east Bakersfield.

Bakersfield Police Department officers responded at about 11:40 a.m. Saturday to a report of an injury collission at Beale Avenue and Niles Street.

The two vehicles collided in the intersection, however additional details about how the accident happened were not immediately available.

Two women, one in the man’s vehicle and the other in the second vehicle in the crash, sustained minor injuries.

All three were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this collision, BPD said in a news release.
