Halstead, KS : Missouri woman injured after crash near Halstead on Friday evening, May 6, 2016

A Missouri woman was injured and taken to a hospital after a crash Friday evening on U.S. 50 1.5 miles north of Halstead.

Elisabeth Voss, 62, of Webster Groves, Missouri, was a passenger in a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Foster Lewis, 73, of St. Louis, Missouri, , towing an Airstream trailer, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.

Around 6:50 p.m., the pickup passed a semi truck and trailer, and after passing, the Airstream trailer began to swing. Lewis was unable to correct, and the pickup slid sideways and overturned in a ditch.

Voss was taken to Newton Medical Center for her injuries. Lewis was uninjured.
