GRAFTON TWP, OH : A Medina County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday, October, 23rd 2017

A Medina County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning on state Route 83, just north of state Route 303.

Arden Wiley, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene, near 16489 Avon Belden Road.

According to the Ohio Stat Highway Patrol, around 10:15 a.m., Wiley was traveling northbound on Route 83, when his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle continued approximately 1,200 feet through a plowed field and struck some trees.

Wiley, of York Township, was partially ejected.

Troopers said Wiley was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.

In addition to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Lorain County Coroner’s Office, Grafton Fire Department and Lorain County Sheriff’s Office were on scene at the crash.
