Crystal Lake,IL : Speed a factor in Union crash that hospitalized 18-year-old Algonquin man, boy on January, Saturday 3rd 2018
Speed was a factor in a crash that sent an 18-year-old Algonquin man and a boy to area hospitals Saturday morning in Union, a spokesperson for the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said.
The boy, who was a passenger, was able to get out of the car himself after it slid sideways, rolled through a resident’s front yard and crashed into several trees about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 14800 block of Hemmingsen Road, police and fire officials said.
Union firefighters had to cut the roof and one of the car’s doors to free its driver, an 18-year-old Algonquin man, who was seriously injured in the crash.
