HUNTSVILLE, AL : Madison County deputy injured in crash while on duty on Wednesday, 17th July 2024

A Madison County deputy is in surgery after he was injured in a car crash while on duty Wednesday night.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Brent Patterson said that Detective Josh Mosley was directing traffic from his parked car when he was hit by another driver going over 80 miles per hour.

Mosley was badly injured but Chief Deputy Stacy Bates says he is in good spirits. Bates says he and everyone else in the sheriff’s office are thankful he survived the crash.
