KINGSLAND, GA : Two dead, four injured in Camden crash on Saturday, March 4th 2017
Two people were killed and four people hospitalized with serious injuries Saturday evening in a three-vehicle collision on Georgia Highway 40.
According to a Georgia State Patrol incident report, Russell Morgan, 50, of Woodbine, was driving eastbound on Highway 40 near the 8-mile marker west of Kingsland when his 2015 GMC Sierra truck crossed the center line, striking a 2008 Toyota Avalon head on at 6:54 p.m.
The Toyota’s driver, Nicoya Jackson, 23, and a passenger, Jaqhayla Houston, 22, both of Folkston, were killed in the collision. Another passenger, Breonna Milton, 21, of Folkston, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Two people traveling eastbound in a 2013 Nissan car were also injured in the accident. The driver, David Borne, 60, and Jennan Borne, 61, both of Blackshear, were also hospitalized.
All those injured in the accident were transported to a Jacksonville hospital.
A Georgia State Patrol spokesman said the accident is still under investigation and nobody has been ticketed. It’s unclear if alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident or if everyone was wearing seat belts.
