A man is in critical condition after being struck by a car early Thursday in Shoreline, a Washington State Patrol spokesman said.
Trooper Rick Johnson said the incident happened about 5 a.m. near the intersection of Northeast 145th Street and 25th Avenue Northeast.
A person wearing dark clothing stepped into the crosswalk while the car was traveling westbound through the intersection and had a green light, Johnson said.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was struck and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries, Johnson said.
An initial investigation showed that the driver of the car was not impaired at the time, Johnson said.
