Bangor, ME : Bangor police investigating truck-building crash on State Street on Wednesday August 31, 2016

Bangor police are investigating a truck-building crash that occurred Wednesday on State Street.

The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at Salon La Posh at 137 State St.

Witnesses said the driver of the pickup, a silver GMC Sierra that still bears temporary license plates, fled on foot after the crash.

A woman who was at the salon said a suspect was taken into custody shortly thereafter.
