Fontana, CA : A motorcycle rider died in a traffic accident in southern Fontana on Monday, August 14, 2017

A motorcycle rider died in a traffic accident in southern Fontana on Aug. 14, according to the Fontana Police Department.
The collision occurred at about 6:40 p.m. at the intersection in the 16300 block of Valley Boulevard.
Officers arrived on scene and found the motorcycle rider unresponsive. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses told police that the motorcyclist was driving at an excessive speed and popping wheelies while driving east on Valley. The rider lost control and collided with a parked car and concrete pillar. The rider has not yet been identified.
The Fontana Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is handling the investigation, and anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call the Traffic Unit at (909) 350-7700.
