FREEPORT, ME : Erratic vehicle on I-295 in Freeport results in pursuit, crashes involving six vehicles on Monday, 19th February 2024

Maine State Police responded to an erratic vehicle traveling on Interstate 295 in the Freeport area that resulted in multiple secondary crashes with minor injuries on Monday.

Just after 4 p.m., the Augusta Regional Communications Center began receiving reports of an erratic vehicle headed northbound on I-295 in Freeport, according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
