Indianapolis, IN : One dead and Three injured in Larwill crash on April, Sunday 16th 2017
A boy was killed and three other people were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center after a crash in Whitley County early Sunday.
The crash happened a little before 1:30 a.m. at U.S. 30 and Indiana 5 in Larwill, the Whitley County Sheriff's Department said.
Chase R. Beicher, 25, of Warsaw, was traveling west on U.S. 30 and did not stop at a red light at Indiana 5. A car with two boys, one of whom was the driver, and Jacob T. Burchett, 18, of Warsaw, was traveling north on Indiana 5 through the intersection, police said.
Beicher's truck hit the 2-door Ford on the passenger side, pushing both cars 300 feet west, police said.
Police did not identify the two boys, including the one who was killed, or give their ages.
The other boy who was driving the 2-door Ford suffered bleeding on his brain, a collapsed lung and a fracture in his right leg, police said.
Burchett was injured with multiple fractures in his right leg. Beicher was treated for cuts to his scalp, police said.
The crash is under investigation.
