Columbus, OH : Teen killed while crossing Alexandria Pike on Wednesday, 2nd November 2016

A 16-year-old male was hit and killed on Alexandria Pike (U.S. 27) and Crossroads Boulevard in Cold Spring on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A Chevrolet Traverse sport utility vehicle heading northbound in the left lane hit the teen about 4:30 p.m.

Witnesses reported to police the light for Alexandria Pike was green, and the teen crossed against the light.

The juvenile was taken to St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas Hospital, where police said he was pronounced dead at 5:19 p.m.

His name was not released.

Police also have not released information on the driver.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
