Columbia, MO : Two University of Missouri athletes injured in car wreck on U.S. 63 in Columbia on Sunday, June 21, 2015

Missouri defensive lineman Harold Brantley was seriously injured in a car accident on Sunday. Ashley Zavala of KRCG in Missouri reported the accident took place just south of Columbia, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brantley traveled off the left side of the road, and when he over corrected, the car slid off the right side of the highway. At that point, the car struck a guardrail and overturned.

Missouri women's basketball player Madeleine Stock was a passenger in the car but only had minor injuries. Both Stock and Brantley were taken by an ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Zavala posted pictures from the scene of the accident on Twitter.

Brantley played in 14 games for Missouri last season, starting 10 of them. He finished the season with 54 tackles and five sacks and is expected to be an early-round selection in next year's draft. The most important thing right now, of course, is his overall health.
