PROVIDENCE, RI : 19-year-old crashes moped into pole, dies on Saturday, 1st September 2018

Police in Rhode Island say a 19-year-old man died when he crashed his moped into a pole over the weekend.

WPRI-TV reports the crash happened Saturday in Providence. Police say the man was weaving in and out of traffic when he drove up onto the sidewalk and crashed into a pole.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Police haven’t released the victim’s name.
