Ocala,FL : Man faces DUI charges after crash on February, Monday 12th 2018

A Colorado man was arrested by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on Monday afternoon on DUI following a two-vehicle crash in Silver Springs.

William Joseph Angel, 38, also was charged with DUI with property damage and driving while license suspended/habitual offender.

Trooper A. Fernandez was called to the crash site at State Road 40 and County Road 326. He was told Angel tried to pass another vehicle in a no passing zone. As Angel’s vehicle was merging back into the lane, the right rear side hit the left front side of the other vehicle. The crash occurred around 2 p.m.

According to the arrest report, Angel was taken to the Marion County Jail, where breath alcohol tests registered .173 and .174, more than twice the state legal limit of .08, at which someone is presumed to be under the influence.
