Columbus, OH : Bicyclist struck, killed in Alexandria on Wednesday, 28th September 2016

A bicyclist was struck in Alexandria Wednesday morning as he was riding to school and later died, police said.

Alexandria Police said in a news release that a "young male" at approximately 7:12 a.m. Wednesday was struck by a pickup in the area of 7930 Alexandria Pike while riding his bike to school.

Police would not release the school the young male attended or his age. He died as a result of his injuries.
