West Eighth Street, NY : Four taken to hospital after crash on West Eighth Street on Wednesday, 18th July 2018

Four people were taken to the hospital Wednesday night following a two-car crash on West Eighth Street just west of the Myrtle Street intersection.

Erie police were still investigating the accident, which caused a Saturn Outlook to strike a utility pole and a Mercury Milan to veer off the roadway and hit a concrete retaining wall.

Three females in the Outlook and one male in the Milan were transported. The extent of their injuries was not known as of 11:45 p.m.

Both the driver and passenger airbags of the Outlook deployed during the accident. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage.
