Chickaloon, AK : Two motorcyclist critical after crash near Mile 84 of the Glenn on Saturday, April 9, 2016

Two Anchorage men were injured on the Glenn Highway, one seriously, after their motorcycles nearly left the road in a Chickaloon-area crash, troopers said.

Ronald Co, 33, and Albert Manuel, 40, were the drivers in the crash near Mile 84 of the Glenn, which Alaska State Troopers said in a dispatch that they responded to shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

“Investigation revealed (Co and Manuel) were operating separate 2015 Suzuki GSX-R motorcycles when they struck gravel on the roadway causing both riders to lose control and collide with a guardrail,” troopers wrote.

Medics flew Manuel to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, where he was listed in critical condition Monday morning. Co was treated at the scene and released.
