Southfield, MI : Pedestrian dies in Southfield hit-and-run in the area of 10 Mile and Santa Barbara, west of the Southfield Freeway Oakland County on Tuesday, 10th September 2019

Police in the Oakland County suburb of Southfield are investigating a fatal hit-and-run car crash involving a pedestrian woman early Tuesday morning.

The fatal crash took place about 5 a.m. in the area of 10 Mile and Santa Barbara, which is west of the Southfield Freeway, Southfield Police Department said in a brief statement.

No information was immediately available on the victim's age.

Police say the vehicle that hit her did not stop after the crash, and ask anyone with information on the incident to call 248-796-5500.
