York,SC : Man killed in crash in in Lake Wylie subdivision crash identified on August, Monday 28th 2017

A man killed in a crash in Lake Wylie crash Monday afternoon has been identified by the York County Coroner's Office as 61-year-old William Outlaw III.

The single-vehicle wreck happened at 12:40 p.m. on Hamilton Ferry Road at Old Post Lane in the River Hills Plantation subdivision. Troopers say Outlaw was driving a 2001 Honda sedan heading south on Hamilton Ferry Road when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Outlaw was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials say he was wearing a seat belt.

There were no passengers in the vehicle with the driver.

Troopers say the crash is still under investigation.

Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
