Paducah, KY : Two people injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 68 Wednesday, March 8, 2017

A Calvert City man and a Benton woman were injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 68 Wednesday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said Charles G. Mitchell, 45, was traveling east in his 2004 Chevrolet Malibu when he was distracted and swerved into the opposite lane to avoid hitting a vehicle in front of him. He collided with Ronda G. Hunter, 56, who was traveling west in a 2012 GMC Arcadia, deputies said.

Both were transported to area hospitals with non-incapacitating injuries.
