WHITE LAKE, SD : 20-year-old woman dies in fatal White Lake crash on Thursday, 11th August, 2016

A 20-year-old woman died and a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle rollover Thursday near White Lake.According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the 22-year-old male driver of a 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet was going westbound on Interstate 90 when he lost control and entered a ditch at approximately 3 p.m.

The female passenger was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital.

The names of the people involved in the crash are being withheld pending notification of the family.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and the Aurora County Sheriff's Office, White Lake Emergency Medical Service and South Dakota Department of Transportation also responded to the scene approximately one mile west of White Lake.
