LIMA, OH : Two-vehicle crash near Lima Senior High School on April, Thursday 13th 2017
Four people were transported to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash early Thursday near Lima Senior High School.
At 8:48 a.m., the Lima Police Department, the Lima Fire Department and Lima Allen County Paramedics responded to the crash, which took place in the 900 block of East North Street just east of the North Street bridge. The crash involved a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a handicapped transport van from Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The truck swerved left of center, causing a head-on collision, according to the initial police report.
According to the Lima Fire Department, four people were transported to hospitals, including both drivers and two passengers in the van. According to St. Rita’s Medical Center, three of the crash victims were in its emergency department Thursday evening, with the other transported to Lima Memorial Health System.
No identities of any of the crash victims have been released. The Lima Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash and had not filed a full report as of Thursday afternoon.
