WESLACO, TX : 71-year-old man killed in Edinburg traffic accident on Tuesday, 2nd July 2019

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a two vehicle fatal crash that occurred last night at about 9:43. The accident occurred on F.M. 1925 west of Hoehn Road north of Edinburg. Preliminary investigation revealed a semi-tractor trailer, occupied by one male driver, was traveling eastbound on F.M. 1925.

A Red Ford F-150, also occupied by one male driver, was traveling westbound on F.M. 1925. The driver of the Ford failed to yield turning left onto Peach Street and collided with the semi-tractor trailer. 71-year-old Ernesto Vega of Edinburg the driver of the Ford sustained major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. DPS Troopers are further investigating this fatal crash.
