West Knoxville, TN : Man was dead overnight when he lost control of his car on the interstate 40 on early Wednesday morning September 10th 2014
A man was killed overnight when he lost control of his car on the interstate in West Knoxville.
The accident was reported at 1:11 am, according to Knoxville Police, at the ramp from west Pellissippi Parkway to I-40 east.
Investigators believe the driver of a 2001 Acura was driving too fast onto the ramp, and the left tires of the car went off the pavement. The driver overcorrected, causing the car to go off the right side of the road and down an embankment, rolling over several times. The driver, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was dead when officers arrived.
The man's name has not been released.
