HOKAH, MN : A 56-year-old Rochester man died when his motorcycle collided on Thursday, August 31, 2017

A 56-year-old Rochester man died Thursday when his motorcycle collided head-on with a dump truck.

Craig Michael Cassman was westbound on Minnesota Highway 16, near Hokah, when the motorcycle he was driving collided with an eastbound truck driven by James Howard Botcher, 83, of Houston.

The two vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane about 2:30 p.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol report.

Botcher was not wearing his seatbelt, the report says. He was uninjured.

Cassman was wearing a helmet.

In addition to the State Patrol, Houston County Sheriff's Office, Hokah Fire Department and Tri State Ambulance assisted at the crash.
