Topeka, KS : Man arrested after crashing car into building in Topeka on Wednesday, 19th December 2018

A man was arrested Wednesday evening in connection with suspicion of driving under the influence after he drove his vehicle through a building at S.W. 22nd and Chelsea.

Topeka police responded around 6 p.m. to Compliance One where a car crashed through the front of the building.

Upon arrival, police located the driver, who wasn’t injured, and administered a sobriety test at the scene, police said.

The man was arrested in connection with suspicion of driving under the influence.

Sgt. Joey Schulmeister said the driver was attempting to turn onto S.W. Chelsea from an unknown direction when he ended up driving west and crashed into the building.
