Terre Haute, IN : Brazil woman hurt in Indiana 163 crash on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018
A Brazil woman was injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Indiana 163 just west of U.S. 41 near Lyford in Parke County.
Indiana State Police Trooper Michael Organ was patrolling the area when he came upon the crash. Organ said the 2000 Honda sustained heavy damage but driver Terry Coffin, 50, of Brazil, was able to free herself from the wreckage. The investigation revealed the car was traveling west on Indiana 163 when it went off the north side of the road and hit a tree about 9:49 a.m.Coffin was taken to Union Hospital in Clinton for possible internal injuries, cuts and pain.
She was cited for having no valid driver’s license and improper vehicle registration.
Assisting ISP were Clinton police, Lyford Fire/Rescue, Parke County EMS and Jackson Family Motors Towing.
