San Diego, CA : Woman rescued from fiery crash on I-5 south near Via De La Valle on Tuesday, July 7, 2015

Two Good Samaritans saved a woman from her burning car in Del Mar after she crashed on Interstate 5 in Del Mar late Tuesday night.

The crash occurred at 10:45 p.m. on I-5 south near Via De La Valle.

According to witnesses, the woman lost control of her car, hit the center-divide and the spun across several lanes, slamming into the right shoulder wall. The car then burst into flames.

Two men who were on their way home from work stopped their vehicle and ran to the scene. They dragged the woman to safety as her car was engulfed in flames.

Del Mar Fire Department crews responded and extinguished the fire. The car was completely charred.

The woman was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Her condition was not immediately known.

California Highway Patrol is unsure what caused the woman to lose control of her car. They are investigating.
