Durham,NC : Woman dies in crash that closed lanes on I-85 in Durham on April, Tuesday 3rd 2018

A 51-year-old woman died in a traffic accident on northbound Interstate 85 in Durham around 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to media reports.

Bonita Cherease Williams died in the accident, according to ABC11.

The television station reported that a 2011 Ford van, operated by 37-year-old Timothy Louis Journigan of Wake Forest, was traveling north and struck the back of a 2000 Saturn driven by Williams . The Saturn then struck a 2010 Toyota Prius driven by a 47-year-old woman.

The accident, at the interchange with Red Mill Road at exit 182, brought traffic to a halt. All northbound lanes on I-85 in the area were closed for hours but reopened at 3:48 p.m.
