A head-on collision between two trucks in northern Union County on Wednesday has claimed the life of a Kentucky man.
Rescue teams from Union County, Liberty Township, Marysville and the Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Fire District went to the crash site just before 2 p.m. along Rt. 31 just south of the village of Byhalia.
Jack Moore, 35, of Ashland, Ky., was southbound on Rt. 31 when the box truck he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Theodore Yocum, 67, of Lewistown, Ohio, said Union County Sheriff Jamie Patton.
Moore was taken to Memorial Hospital of Union County, where he died.
Yocum and Columbus resident Donald Cummings, 52, who was a passenger in the box truck, were flown to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with injuries that weren’t seen as life-threatening.
Investigators have not determined who was at fault, Patton said.
