Portland, OR : Three people killed in a head-on collision on Highway 47 in Yamhill County on Tuesday morning, March 1, 2016

Oregon State Police are investigating a head-on crash that killed three people and injured two others in Yamhill County.

A police spokesman says the collision happened Tuesday morning on Highway 47 just north of Carlton.

The circumstances that led to the crash and the names of the victims were not immediately released.
