ST. PETERSBURG, FL : Stolen car crashes into house in St. Pete, driver on the run at 3801 19th Avenue South on Monday, 11th February 2019

A stolen car crashed into a home in St. Petersburg late Monday night.

The crash occurred at 3801 19th Avenue South.

According to police, shortly after 10 p.m., a stolen Hyundai lost control, drove through a fence and hit a car parked in front of the home.

The impact pushed the parked car into the wall of the house.

The only person home, an older man, was not injured.

The unknown driver of the stolen car ran from the scene and has not been located.

The fire department checked the house and it is structurally sound, so the resident will not be displaced.

The investigation is ongoing.
