NORTH FORT MYERS, FL : Bicyclist killed in North Fort Myers crash on Thursday, 26th November, 2020

A bicyclist was killed in a crash on Old US 41 and Pine Island Road in Lee County Thursday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash at around 2 p.m. and said the bicyclist was a 61-year-old man.

A 46-year-old man was driving south on Old US 41 while the bicyclist was crossing the southbound lanes, troopers said. The bicyclist went right into the car’s path causing the car to hit him.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said.
