Kingsport, TN : Mount Carmel man injured after head-on collision causes roll over Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016

A Mount Carmel man was hospitalized in a roll over Thursday afternoon when a commercial truck reportedly crossed the center line on Carters Valley Road and struck an SUV head on.

The crash occurred Thursday around 2:24 p.m. near the Rose Lane Road intersection.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Jonathan Stanley, 37, of Shady Valley, Tenn., was driving a 2003 International tractor trailer was traveling east on Carters Valley Road and ran off the right side of the roadway over-corrected and crossed the center dividing line.

The tractor trailer then struck a westbound 2005 Mazda driven by John Bowen, 65, of Mount Carmel.

The Mazda came to an uncontrolled final rest on its top off the north side of the roadway.
