Westminster, MD : Pennsylvania man killed in three-car collision near Green Meadow Lane on Thursday evening, April 6, 2017

A Pennsylvania man was killed Thursday evening in a three-car collision on Md. 97 near Green Meadow Lane.

Officers responded to a call for a three-car collision at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from Maryland State Police.

According to police, Steven Grant, 42, of Gettysburg was travelling northbound on Md. 97, when he crossed the center lane and struck another vehicle, driven by Melissa Smoot of Westminster. Grant was pronounced dead at the scene, while Smoot was flown to University of Maryland shock trauma center. A third driver, Alan Stull was treated and released on the scene with minor injuries.

The collision is being investigated by the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
