STATEN ISLAND, NY : One person was injured in a car accident on Thursday, June 15, 2017

One person was injured in a car accident Thursday afternoon in Mariners Harbor.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Richmond Terrace and Harbor Road around 3:30 p.m. One individual was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, but injuries were not serious, according to an FDNY spokesman.

According to police transmissions, the crash involved a motorcycle and a police car, but the FDNY could not confirm that account.
