Racine County, WI : Illinois man seriously injured in motorcycle crash on Sunday evening, August 24, 2014

An Illinois man was seriously injured Sunday evening when he crashed his motorcycle in the Town of Burlington. The single-motorcycle crash occurred just after 7 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of County Highway J and Highway 11, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Office. Authorities believe alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Aurora Memorial Hospital in Burlington and then flown by helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, according to a news release.
