Lexington, SC : 58-year-old Scott R. Woodcock killed in fatal collision in Lexington County on Friday night, April 8, 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a collision in Lexington County that left one man dead.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the man as 58-year-old Scott R. Woodcock of Gilbert, SC.

Troopers with SCHP say just before midnight Friday night, Woodcock's Dodge Pickup ran off the left side of Crystal Springs Road.

Troopers say the truck overturned and he was ejected from the vehicle. The coroner says Woodcock was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

According to an autopsy, Woodcock died of blunt force trauma.

The incident remains under investigation by SCHP.
