Two Atlanta-area teens were killed Saturday when their car collided with a Georgia State Patrol cruiser.Douglassville’s South Paulding High School mourned the deaths of 17-year-old Kylie Lindsey and 16-year-old Isabella Chinchilla Monday as students returned to class following their fall break.Police said Lindsey and Chinchilla were riding in the backseat of a Nissan Sentra as their two male friends rode in the front. The four were driving through Carroll County around 11:30 p.m. when they pulled onto Highway 27, in front of a state trooper
The trooper — who was on patrol but was not answering a call and was not running the car’s emergency lights — crashed into the back of the teen-packed sedan, police said.

The teenage boys in the front survived the crash and were treated at a local hospital. The trooper, who has not been identified, also sustained minor injuries. No one has been charged and the crash is still under investigation, but a preliminary report suggested that the Nissan failed to yield to the patrol car.The girls’ classmates set up a memorial at the crash site.
