Davie ,FL : Woman airlifted to hospital in critical condition and dog dead on Tuesday ,June 30th 2015

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious-injury three-vehicle crash that occurred on SR 44 .5 miles south of Pioneer Trail just after 2 p.m. today.

A 2012 Ford F350 truck was traveling northbound on Hillcrest Drive when it failed to stop in time and struck a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta in the rear, pushing it into the rear of a 2003 Dodge Neon.

The Ford truck was driven by Ryan L. Knight, 24, of Mantua, who was uninjured.

The Volkswagen was driven by Susan Tuttle, 61, of Ravenna. She was seriously injured in the crash and was taken by Life Flight to Akron City Hospital.

The Dodge driver Christina M. Bentley, 37, of Mantua was also injured and was taken to Akron City hospital by ambulance.

All three drivers were believed to be wearing their safety belts.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. This crash remains under investigation.
