Norfolk, NE : Pierce man dies in rollover accident in Knox County on Saturday, July 16, 2016

A 32-year-old Pierce man has died after an accident in Knox County.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Dana J. Ziegenbein, 32, of Pierce, was killed when the truck he was driving eastbound on 872nd Road left the roadway and struck a bridge about a half mile west of 522nd Avenue.

The vehicle then left the roadway again and rolled multiple times, coming to rest in a tree line and pinning the driver underneath.

The accident happened just before 7 a.m. Saturday in Knox County.

The accident was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol, which said restraints were not in use.
