Tishomingo, OK : Two injured in head-on crash on U.S. Highway 377 south of Tishomingo early Tuesday, January 3, 2017

A Madill woman and a Kingston man were both seriously injured early Tuesday in a two vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 377.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the collision occurred about 8:30 a.m. one mile south of Tishomingo when a southbound 2013 Hyundai, driven by Lexus D. Hester, 23, went left of center striking a northbound 2008 Dodge pickup, driven by James Burgess, 50.
Hester was pinned in
the wreckage for about 20 minutes b
efore being freed by Johnston County firemen. She was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital-Ardmore with a leg injury. She was later transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in what patrol reports describe as serious condition.
Burgess was transported by ambulance to the Ardmore medical facility where he was admitted in serious condition with an internal injury. A 15-year-old male, identified as a passenger in Burgess' truck, was also taken by ambulance to the Ardmore hospital, where he was treated and released.
The patrol said seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
Cause of the crash was listed as inattention to driving.
